Daniel Hagen

Committee Vice Chairman; Immediate Past-Chair of University Faculty Senate; Professor of Dairy and Animal Sciences, College of Agricultural Sciences

Hagen has taught at Penn State since 1978, when he began as assistant professor. In 1984, he was named an associate professor, and in 1993 earned the rank of professor. He has served on numerous editorial boards for journals and has won several awards, including Pennsylvania Governor's Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Young Investigator Award, Northeast Sections of the American Dairy Science Association and the American Society of Animal Science.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural science and a animal science (reproductive physiology), both from the University of Illinois.
